[Life] Officially 22

Oh man, I am 22 now. So annoying when my parents tell others that I am 22. It is way too sensitive for me ... maybe girls who around this age also have the same kind of thought as me - just don't feel like telling others how old you are.

Just a short update about how I celebrated my birthday :)

Before going back to Glasgow, I just decided to have a small celebration with my sister and Marilyn since our birthday are so closed. I am on the 22nd, my sis is one 21st and Marilyn is on the 18th. We are all September babies <3 And of course, this was also one of my excuses to celebrate birthday since no one has celebrated with me for 3 years and I wished I could have a birthday cake on my birthday as others...

What makes it pity is that I bought the cake by myself. Okay... looks like I am forcing everyone to celebrate with me ...

And then on my exact birthday, I celebrated it with the friends in Glasgow. They are my pillar when I am in Glasgow. Thank you!

We went to Ox and Finch to have dinner. This is a new opened restaurant in Glasgow and it is a tapas bar. This is why the price that shown on the menu is cheap. The plate are served in the size of appetizer. For me, I would considered the size is exactly suitable for me. But if you have a bigger appetite, you may order more.

The interior of the restaurant is modern and nice. Love the windows that brighten up the whole restaurant. There is also an open kitchen but luckily there is no heavy smell coming out from the kitchen that will make you and your clothes stink.

A logo of an ox is printed on the menu board.

Baby Gio bought a cake from Sainsbury's hahahaha that is a lemon cake. But sadly, I am loyalty only to the lemon cake in Marks and Spencer XDD

Just the selfies with Baby Gio. Thanks for celebrating my birthday and thank you for the present tooooo. Take care and my birthday wish is I must graduate with a second upper and to have a healthier body! Thanks God for everyday! Happy birthday and I will rejoice in the Lord.

With love,
Fia

[Travelling] Day trip to Stirling

Hi ya, I have been back to Glasgow finally :)) Since I was busing moving back to my flat + unpacking + tidying, I was unable to update my blog!

What I find interesting is that all my new flatmates are guys. GUYS. Seriously?! I purposely asked for a mixed flat during my 1st year but then all my flatmates were girls and eventually after 3 years, my dream has come true XDD Hope we can get along well ;))

Back to the topic, to be honest, this trip wasn't in my plan. I did plan to go somewhere by myself before the class but then I realized I have to do a lot of planning when I am in Malaysia. So I dropped my plan and just go somewhere near instead.

So, during my birthday, I went to a day trip alone. This was really spontaneous, I only decided while having my breakfast! Anyway, this is one of my birthday wishes too --- travelling alone! The return ticket from Partick to Stirling is just £10, cheaper than what I saw on thetrainline.com.

After a 45 minutes train, I then arrived in the city centre of Stirling. It takes about 5 minutes walk from the station to city centre. Since I did not do any research before heading here, I just randomly walked along the street.

The flowers along the street. Simply pretty and lovely to see this during autumn.

Some street views on the way to Stirling castle. Not that I wanted to say, the road is damn steep than I expected and the castle is really on top of the mountain!

This has now become the SYHA (youth hostel). I think the location is really great since it is located between city centre and some tourist attractions. You will then see the jail and Argyll lodge if you continue to walk upward, city centre is just about 5 to 10 minutes walk.

This is the church of Holy Rude. Admission is free and this is just what I love about Scotland XDD Almost all the attractions are free to enter!

Cowane's hospital is just right opposite the church.

The hospital is not a hospital now anymore. There is cafe out there for people to rest and have drinks, inside of the hospital somehow looks like a church too.

The interior of the Church of Holy Rude. This church is the only surviving church in Scotland that has witnessed a coronation.

The staffs are extremely friendly. All the tourists will be given an introduction about the church according to where you are from. So everyone can understand about more on this church in your own languages.

I was not allowed to enter this because I didn't buy the ticket. Besides that, this is only opened from 2pm and it seems like they have limited visiting time. But if you have the ticket of entering castle, you are eligible to get in too.

Oh my goodness. finally. It was so great to see the sign!!

The sun was exteremely strong in noon. People might think I wasa noob since I was wearing a coat, yes a coat.

My back was burning, this wasn't lying. I would get tan immediately if I took out my coat, so NO NO NO. hahahaha!

My face is getting rounder and rounder, wtf. I hate it! Making me look so fat!

Well, this is it. A short, simple, random and spontaneous day trip to Stirling on my birthday! Happy 22nd <3
