[Little thought] Excuse me, can you not follow me?

To be honest, I enjoy shopping, walking around the shops and see what things I would like to buy. However, the sales-girls or the staffs in the shops are really annoying and destroying my mood to shop very often.

I just want to share my experience and make some comment on it. Some objection may be arouse and I am already anticipated some people may not agree with me. Anyway, I have been keeping this for a long time and I really want to shout it out now.

Me and my sister went to the recently opened JBCC Komtar on Wednesday and we were really looking forward to the first Sephora store in JB. Although we were not planning to buy anything, we were still feeling excited! The shopping mall is still under construction, the parking lot are big but yet people are still doing some maintenance on every level causing there are not many parking and we had to keeping driving to the next floor. Girls must be careful because I think the parking lot is a little bit creepy and messy, and there are also a lot of foreign workers working over there. (I am not biased =.=) What making me feel pleasant is the guards on each floor of the parking lot. I would have lost my way if there were no one helping you the way in and out.

Many shops are not opened yet but some shops such as Marks and Spencer, Sephora, Kiehl's (Yes! you are finally here in JB!!), Pandora, Vincci, New Balance and Adidas are opened. Oh, there is Famous Amos too <3 I hope it tastes as good as the one in KL Sunway and Empire Subang :))

My main aim for visiting JBCC is firstly, to see what is in there; secondly, Sephora; thirdly, Kiehl's and lastly, Marks and Spencer. Overall JBCC did not give me any deep impression but it can be seen that JB is developing according to the KL's development orientation. I just hope JB can be the next KL or better, the second Singapore if Malaysia 'boleh'.

The shopping experience at Sephora JBCC was so bad and I think I will not visit it again if unnecessary unless the staffs do not follow me while walking around the shops. I wonder if this is the culture of Malaysia only or the staffs in other countries will also follow their customer all the way when they are doing shopping or browsing around the products. I also wonder if following the customers are one of their duty or they are afraid of the customer will steal away the product.

Some consumer such as me like to browse around before making final purchase decision. I may be attracted by other products that I don't expect to buy or I may change my decision after seeing another product. I think the staff in the shops are there to ASSIST the customer, but not to FOLLOW the customer like a shadow. I feel extremely uneasy when there is someone following you when you are doing shopping. I find this condition is particularly more significant in those clothing and make up shops. The staffs are following you like the body guard. If you are so scared of us touching your product, why don't you just put your products in a transparent shelf ? Or making your store like a museum, leaving all your 'precious' inside the transparent safety box and lock it with a pin pad lock? And customer are there to pay an entrance fee rather than paying for the product. wtf.

I remembered I did tell the girl to stop following me and my sister and I would ask them if I need help. At first, the staff said okay and then stand there for a while but continued following me. WTH. Can you understand English?????? I said STOP FOLLOWING ME, did you know what is that mean?! I did not even touch your product! Hey please, you kept standing at my back, of course I didn't dare to touch the things and have a nice discussion with my sis about what to buy later. So, how can I buy?

Well, to the supervisors: I don't know if you are the one who ask them to keep following the customer whenever they go, can you please stop doing this? I assure that you must have surveillance camera in the shops and the sensor at the entrance and exit, people wouldn't want to steal things unless they have the intention to. So so so, can you please stop following us?
